Until a few years ago people would commission me to do portraits. I would only work on one portrait at a time and it would consume my life. I was putting a lot of time and work into each portrait, but being recently married and adjusting to a new life soon became my priority. Now I am a stay-at-home mom to my beautiful little Ayla Dell, who just turned one. I've been waiting for the time to be able to work on art projects again, but realize I have to make the time. Having made this goal at the beginning of the year this is the progress of my first project. I work mainly in colored pencil and my favorite projects are portraits of people and especially children.
